Seeds of Change workshop held in collaboration with SDG Leader for Goal 6, The Coca Cola Company

A successful partnership with the The Coca-Cola Company (Pakistan and Afghanistan region) led to “Seeds of Change”, held at the Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore, on 21 August 2023. The event was part of the flagship #SDG Leadership Programme under Goal 6: “Clean #Water and Sanitation”. Coca-Cola has been an SDG Leader for this goal since 2019, for its best practices in water resource management and water stewardship as a member company of The Pakistan Business Council.

The tone was set with opening remarks from Coca-Cola’s own Aisha Sarwari [Director Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability, Afg/PK], leading to a keynote address by the Secretary Environment Punjab, Dr. Sajid Chauhan. He shared his work and information regarding water legislation and environmental protection laws, which led to a crucial discussion by panelists Dr, Muhammad Imran Azam (PhD), Rafay Alam, Zunaira Mobashir Alam [Coca-Cola Icecek], and Khadija Abid [World Food Programme]. The discussion was moderated by Senior Communications Manager Hiba Dar.

The programme concluded with two modules on water risk assessment and the business case for water stewardship, led by Dr. Sohail Ali Naqvi of WWF – Pakistan and Rajaa Bokhari, Programme Manager CERB, respectively.
