“Climate2Equal” is a pilot project being conducted in Cairo and Pakistan, aiming to build capacity in businesses for women-led climate action. Starting in January 2023, companies pledged commitments to gender inclusive climate action. Through a year-long engagement, they partnered with the IFC and PBC to translate these pledges into actionable business strategies. Many private sector players in Pakistan’s landscape have taken a pledge including National Foods Limited, Bank Alfalah Limited, Pakistan Cables Limited, Gul Ahmed Energy Group and many more. In November 2023, one of the pledging companies, Packages Ltd won an award in the Climate Resilience category 1st Sustainability Expo and 26th Sustainable Development Conference organised by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute.
